This is a very rich aromatic form of Vetiver we are offering with our perfumery customers in mind. Hydrodiffusion is a steam distilling process which produces an oil that contains more trace components without using chemical extraction methods. The process makes It more expensive but it is an excellent base for perfumes or high end aromatherapy products that is difficult to duplicate.
            Vetiver has been traditionally used to treat stress, insomnia, anxiety and depression. In Sri Lanka it is woven into fans, window screens and sleep mats to add tranquility to the home. Its known as an antiseptic, insect repellant, anti inflammatory, treatment for headaches, arthritis, skeletal and muscular aches. Vetiver has been used to regulate hormones in cases on menopause and PMS associated with low progesterone production. It is suggested for use after childbirth to tighten and tone skin and to reduce stretch marks.
            Vetiver has a strong aroma earthy aroma. It is used as a fixative in perfumery but can overpower a blend so it is best to begin by adding small amounts. A little goes a long ways.
